Greg Madden Lead Guitar, vocals and keyboard. Greg has been playing professionally since the early 70s, spending many of those years with Mike Ward on bass and Dan Ward on drums. Hes taken various roles in diverse bands, playing lead guitar, doing lead vocals and background keyboards. In the early 80s, Greg, along with Dan and Mike, played in one of Daytons first and most popular 60s revival bands, the Peddlers.
Jim Roberts Lead vocals, rhythm and lead guitar. Jim began playing professionally in the 70s. Along with fellow Vista Cruisers members, Mike Ward, Greg Madden and Dan Ward, Jim was part of a group that traveled in a USO troupe in the 70s. During that time they performed at Guantanamo Naval Station in Cuba and a variety of military bases on the U.S. east coast. Later Jim was the founder of the country band, Cottonmouth, which is still one of busiest club bands in the Dayton area.
Dan Ward Drums and background vocals. Dan started playing with Greg Madden in high school and for over 30 years he has been in bands with Jim, Greg and Mike. Although drums are his instrument in the Vista Cruisers, Dan is an accomplished banjo and pedal steel player. Not unlike his brother, the band needed a drummer 15 years ago and he was volunteered.
Mike Ward Bass Guitar and backing vocals. Mike began his musical career in Washington D.C playing 60s soul music. Like a lot of bass players, Mike started out as guitar player until one day the band he was in said We need a bass player. Youre it! Mike has played with lead guitar player, Greg Madden, in country swing, classic country, soul, oldies and classic rock bands for nearly 30 years.
We didn't play this place and it still went out of business. | The Vista Cruisers hanging out with an old friend and former bandmate, RC. He's now in a great band called Annie Crackie. |
