In the next month or so, the website will be shutting down and the address will point to a myspace site. Why? Well to put it bluntly, December 31st may be our last official job. The Vista Cruisers will still be available to perform special events but won't be actively looking for regular jobs (though of course we will accept them!). Continuing to have a full website doesn't make any financial sense.

The Drop City duo (Jim Roberts and myself) will continue to play occasionally and those jobs will be listed on the Vista Cruisers myspace page.

So what have we been doing and plan to do with our spare time?

Dan Ward and his brother are spending a lot of time and money rebuilding a Studebaker Hawk. They've always had a love for these cars.

Damon Madden, the 'replacement' drummer, is playing in several bands in the Cincinnati area and running an open jam session in Kentucky.

Jim Roberts will be performing with me in Drop City. He continues to write songs. I'm hoping that he will let his former band mates record some of them with him.

Me? I've been playing with a new band called The Essentials. A real change for me. I had to lock myself in my basement and practice about 2 hours every night to learn 40 new songs in about 5 weeks. Well I almost learned them. I had a couple of cheat sheets in front of me. And there was a time or two in which my guitar dropped completely in volume.. They think that I'm going to volunteer to do a website - I don't see that happening. I'll be sending out our schedule. We're playing music from 80's, 90's and stuff actually written in the last 5 years. Definitely more on the rock side. A different animal than the Vista Cruisers but still a lot of good party and dance songs.
